To tune in to our new Unit of Inquiry ‘Sharing The Planet’ we split into two small groups with Ms Rehu accompanying and went on a walk along part of the canopy walkway just next to the school. We brought a checklist of different animals to try and spot. We saw spiders, ants, birds, butterflies and a caterpillar. We heard lots of cicadas but didn’t see them! Other sightings that we’d hoped for such as frogs, monkeys, squirrels and monitor lizards were not found on this trip! We wondered where all these living things might be hiding! We enjoyed a small snack at the top of the hill before heading back to school just before it started to rain.
