We visited the wet markets in Little India this week. It was a first ever trip for many and an experience to remember. We are inquiring into how we use our senses to experience the world around us. The first scent that reached our sensitive noses was the smell of fish! This was soon replaced by the scent of burning incense sticks as we walked along some shops on our way to the market. Notes of Indian music hit our ears. Ah, our sense of hearing was telling us that it was Indian music.
Axel: Why are they playing this music?
Axel was about to make cultural connections with Little India. Perhaps he will remember this music in future and continue to make those connections.
Our first experience touching fish. The kind fish sellers let us touch and feel the fish, prawns and crabs. They even brought out a sting ray for us to see and touch !
Now for the best part...tasting!
